Globally, ITIL (The Information Technology Infrastructure Library) is a widely used approach to IT Service Management. ITIL offers a wide range of certifications in the IT service Management area. These certifications can be broken down into different levels. The foundation level certification tests the basic knowledge candidates have and is considered an entry level certification. The intermediate level would be where candidates would choose their certifications based on their interest, knowledge, and experience.
The practitioner level certifications are for candidates that are working and specializing in certain job roles within their organizations. The expert level is for those individuals who have a greater knowledge base. The final level is the master level geared to individuals who can demonstrate their knowledge and skills in a real world working environment.
