ExamForce Donates Online Training and Software to CompTIA Educational Foundation
Mar 05, 2009 Generous Donation Allows Creating Futures Program to Help Veterans Receive Free IT Training. Oakbrook Terrace, Ill., March 5, 2009, ExamForce donated $75,000 worth of online IT training and test preparation software to CompTIA Educational Foundation's Creating Futures Program. The donation will allow Creating Futures to further extend its mission to provide free IT training to U.S. military veterans.
"The need for trained and certified personnel in today's IT workforce increases every day and the Creating Futures program aligns with the ExamForce company mission to build the next generation of IT professionals," said Kevin Forcier, president, ExamForce. "When we saw the impact of our donation last year, it was a simple decision to increase our participation in the program this year. We're looking forward to hearing the success stories of the students as their skills develop and they are prepared to enter the IT profession." Microsoft Debuts Virtualized Windows Exam
5/19/2009 -- If you're thinking that Exam 83-640 TS: Windows Server 2008, Active Directory, sounds familiar, you'd be right. Exam 83-640 is the virtualized version of Exam 70-640 TS: Windows Server 2008, Active Directory.
Microsoft officially released the exam last week, to coincide with numerous announcements that were made at last week's Microsoft Tech-Ed Conference in Los Angeles. According to a press release, Exam 83-640 is "the first to incorporate a virtual environment with the tools and options available in a real computing environment." The exam itself incorporates multiple choice items and virtualized, performance-based questions in which test takers must perform tasks as if working on a real server.
